About Kombucha Kat

Since 2016, Kombucha Kat Founder, Sam, has been crafting their organic kombucha by hand in the heart of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, refining the flavour-profile again and again and again. Kombucha is a fermented drink made from sweetened tea and a specific culture known as a scoby. Scoby stands for ‘symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts’. The bacteria and yeasts convert the sugar into ethanol and acetic acid. The acetic acid is what gives kombucha its distinctive sour taste.

The Kombucha Kat & Vitikit Partnership

Vitikit started working with Sam in 2016, when it started with only a couple of 100-litre tanks. More tanks followed and capacity increased. Tanks were then scaled up again in size to deal with demand and now capacity is in excess of 30,000 litres in 2 specially designed kombucha tanks. In the early days and along the way, we have helped Sam with bottling and now with the ultra-cool short cans. We are giving away a selection of cans, including original, ginger and blueberry. A great way to start a New Year’s resolution of cutting down on Alcohol or even if you just fancy a change and would like to arouse your taste buds with these alternative drinks.
