Flash Pasteuriser

Flash pasteuriser

The flash pasteuriser is a reliable means to extend the shelf life of many products, and is commonly seen in breweries, dairies and soft drinks factories. Recelty, with the poularity of no and low alcohol beer – the flash pasteuriser has found a new and growing market

Vitikit supplies flash pasteurisers to breweries, cidermakers, soft drinks makers and more. The equipment is manufactured in Europe by a family company with many generations of experience in food and drinks processing .

As well as being very useful the plate flash pasteuriser is very simple to regulate and is energy efficient machine. Compared to batch  – in bottle pasteurisation or tunnel pasteurisation, the flash pasteuriser uses less energy. This is because the plate heat exchanger technology very efficiently moves heat energy from out going “sterile” product to the incoming “live” product. This is commonly called the regeneration section of the pasteuriser.

The level of heat treatment – or the pu level,  achieved by controlling the heat that the product achieves, and the time that the product is held at the set temperature. The time, is a function of the flow rate and the diameter and length of the specially engineered holding section.

Each flash pasteuriser is individually built by the manufacturer according to the specific needs of our customers.

The pasteuriser can powered by using an electric heater, steam boiler , or by using an oil or gas fired hot water system. Often a customer already has a steam generator, so steam is the natural solution.

The flash pasteuriser features a user-friendly touchscreen interface which automatically controls pasteurization temperature and continuous recording for full traceability together with high heat recovery for low operating cost. Cleaning is quick and easy after use with the help of the cleaning program. All components are placed on a stainless steel frame mounted on levelling feet.

For safety, if the pasteurising temperature is lower than the required one, an automatically operated by-pass valve sends the product back to the buffer tank, thus, preventing any microbial contamination of the final product.
