Distilling Equipment that Produces Fine Spirits
As providers of distilling equipment to produce spirits as delicious as Exe Gin and Grumblebee Rum, Vitikit know a thing or two about fine, great tasting spirits. While our forte is providing the latest and best distilling equipment, Courtney’s Drinks’ speciality is using it to produce impeccable gin, rum and cider. This is certainly reflected in their main gin and rum offerings, Exe Gin and Grumblebee Rum.
Two pieces of stills equipment that relate to the prize we’re giving away in March are our gin still and rum molasses still. Check them out today! Throughout the coming months, you can expect to see more pieces of distilling equipment feature on our site. For now, contact us directly to learn of our complete range of equipment for producing spirits.
Note: We’re partnered with a Brazilian manufacturer, who has an impressive reputation in the distilling world; as a company who supplies companies across the world. Learn more about our manufacturer Santa Efigenia.
Courtney’s Drinks – Gin, Rum & Cider
Both the Exe Gin and Grumblebee Rum brands are owned and the spirits produced by Courtney’s Drinks. The company was started by the Courtney family over 10 years ago and they initially produced cider, with apples taken from their Whiteways Orchard.
Today, they still sell their traditional cider, alongside a number of other ciders including those of a fruity and low alcohol variety. In addition to the cider, they produce and distribute the amazing Exe Gin and Courtney’s Grumblebee Rum, which feature in our prize this month.
About Exe Gin
Exe Estuary Image Source: Tim Green
Exe Gin is a traditional Dry London Gin with a lovely smooth taste. Delicately infused and traditionally distilled. It has a great balance of spices and zesty citrus flavours. Exe Gin is inspired by the stunning Exe Valley – running from deepest, darkest parts of Exmoor down to Exmouth. The wonderful scenery and wildlife of this part of the UK inspire Exe Gin’s bottle design and the flavour within the gin.
Serving Suggestion From Courtney’s – Exe Gin
Exe Gin suggests that you try pouring a serving of the gin over ice, before adding a hearty slice of fresh orange or grapefruit and topping up with Indian tonic water. Now that sounds refreshing!
About GrumbleBee Rum
Courtney’s Grumblebee Rum provides warming kitchen spices and a drizzle of sweet and fragrant honey against a backdrop of punchy rum. The Rum is infused with honey from Courtney’s own hives deep in the Exe Valley, just above Black Cat Bridge on the River Exe. All of their honey bees were rescued from extermination and re-homed to their hives.
Serving Suggestion From Courtney’s – Grumblebee Rum
- Pour a generous serving of Grumblebee over ice and mix with Ginger Ale.
- Mix Grumblebee Rum with half apple juice and half lemonade for a delicious tipple.
